During this time you may experience longer than normal communication periods. Please be patient, as we are doing our best to provide our regular services during this time.
The St. Tammany Parish Communications District oversees the assignment and maintenance of 9-1-1 physical addresses for all structures located throughout St. Tammany Parish. In order to obtain an address for a new structure, please follow the instructions below, contact our office at (985) 898-4911, or via email address@stp911.org.
Please be prepared to identify the exact location of your structure either via legal description of your property (this information is located within your deed paperwork), survey paperwork, latitude/longitude coordinates or by plotting the exact location on an aerial map. Also, if you can provide the physical addresses of the neighbors on both sides of the structure, we can expedite the process. While in some cases, address assignment can be completed within a short time, some scenarios require anywhere from from three (3) to five (5) business days to complete depending on the quality of information provided by the applicant. NOTE*** Due to increase in demand of Address Requests this process could take from seven (7) to ten (10) business days.
The Communications District understands the importance of efficient address assignment, and we strive to complete this process as quickly as possible while ensuring our address database maintains a high level of accuracy and integrity. Once a physical 9-1-1 address is assigned, building permits can be obtained from the Permits Department located at Government Complex, 21454 Koop Drive, Mandeville, LA 70471.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY ADDRESS IS ISSUED?
Our office will send you a letter with your 9-1-1 Verified Address located on the form. Make sure that you keep a copy of your verified 9-1-1 Address Letter. You will need this form in order to obtain a permit for building from the St. Tammany Parish Parish Permits Office.
